Tua Tagovailoa, the prized quarterback recruit from Saint Louis, took unofficial visits to Ole Miss and Auburn over the weekend and he is on his way to an unofficial visit at Alabama, according to various sources, including SECCountry.com, 247sports.com, his head coach at Saint Louis, Cal Lee, and the Tagovailoa’s family.

According to an SEC Country story by Chris Kirschner, “Tagovailoa is Alabama’s No. 1 quarterback target in this year’s recruiting class, and he’s high on the Crimson Tide”

Said Tagovailoa in Kirschner’s story: “Coach (Nick) Saban has talked to us and his beliefs are God first before anything. Every school is going to have good academics. Every school is going to have good football. But when you have a coach like Saban, who believes in God and is a defending champion, that makes it even more special. I didn’t even know I was in Alabama’s range to get offered. It says a lot for them to go this far for someone like me. I really do take this into consideration because it’s something that is very meaningful because Nick Saban has taken almost everyone that he has recruited to a national championship. That says a lot about his program.”

The Tagovailoa family texted Hawaii Prep World on Monday morning, saying the family is on its way from Auburn to Tuscaloosa to meet with the defending national champion Crimson Tide.

Tua Tagovailoa, the lefty senior-to-be and a legitimate dual threat, has 19 Division I offers. USC and UCLA are also among the schools that have offered Tagovailoa.
