Crusaders’ Tagovailoa is nation’s No. 6 QB recruit

Saint Louis lefty Tua Tagovailoa is ranked sixth in CBS MaxPreps’ Top 10 quarterback recruits for the 2017.

Dylan McCaffrey of Valor Christian in Colorado is at the top of the list, which also includes Tate Martell of Las Vegas’ Bishop Gorman at No. 3. Defending Hawaii Division I state champion Kahuku will be visiting Nevada to play Bishop Gorman – the top-ranked team in the nation two years in a row — this fall. Martell is committed to Texas A&M.

Tagovailoa, who received a scholarship offer from national champion Alabama recently and has 16 other Division I FBS offers, led the Crusaders to an appearance in the state championship game last fall.


Jake Bentley of Opelika, Ala., ranked at No. 10, also has an offer from Alabama.
