Vierra made her mark at Officials, when she took the top seed of this bracket with a win over Evans and never let it go. it was no huge fluke, she did place third at state last year, but Evans is a state champion and three time state placer.
Evans took a little time off after the loss and looked a little shaky when she came back but recovered to defend her OIA title to earn the second seed.
Not much stands in the way of a big rematch between them except Hamilton, who placed fifth at states last year and won Paani this year.
She resides in Vierra’s half of the bracket, the biggest threat to Evans seems to be Kahoalii Kaliikane, who joined this party from 132 pounds and brings some serious heat. She took titles at MIT and Paani and was second at Officials at the higher weight. One girl who could trip her up is Pasion, who won at Nanakuli against the likes of Hamada and McAluney.
Pule represents a threat as the BIIF champ but she struggled mightily at Paani.
