Gooman gets the top seed because she has been the most consistently excellent all season, taking Officials and Nanakuli before earning her first ILH title. Mai was the closest to her with wins at Paani and Nanakuli but she got tripped up by Ikei in the OIA championships. Not that Ikei wasn’t deserving, she placed in the top three in every major tournament. Ikei faces a tough draw in the first round with Bernaldez but the second round looks easier. MIL champ Chelsey Chaves is the only state placer with a fifth place last year but she was underwhelming this season until taking her league. Vivas has been busy and can give her a rub, but the bottom half of the bracket appears set up for Ikei.
