BYU offered Kahuku defensive end Aliki Vimahi a scholarship on Sunday.
Vimahi, a 6-foot-4, 250-pound junior, tweeted the news.
Vimahi and the second-ranked Red Raiders (11-0) play No. 6 Waianae (9-3) on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in the Division I semifinals of the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA State Football Championships at Aloha Stadium.
In the D-I state title game on Nov. 20, the winner will play the survivor of Friday’s 7:30 p.m. No. 3 Mililani (9-2) vs. No. 1 Saint Louis (8-1) semifinal at Aloha Stadium.
How many other Kahuku players got Div 1 offers? Bradlee Anae is one, Hirkley Latu another. Who else?
Kesi Ah Hoy, Keala Santiago, Kekoa Sasaoka, I believe Atuaia does, could be others
What about Kaula Kaniho?
Love seeing this, tegardless of the school. Free college is what it’s all about. D1 D2 D3 D-whatever. Go get a free education! Awesome!
