The Maui News reported Friday that King Kekaulike is forfeiting its home game on Saturday against Maui High.
Na Alii will be 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the MIL’s Division II standings after that forfeit is officially recorded as a 2-0 win for the Sabers.
Maui will improve to 5-1 overall and 5-0 and in first place in the league’s Division I standings.
The report said King Kekaulike does not have the league minimum 25 players available for the game.
In another MIL, according to the Valley Isle newspaper, the Kihei Charter Tiger Sharks are disbanding their 8-man football team, which will result in forfeits of scheduled games at Lanai on Saturday, vs. Seabury Hall at War Memorial Stadium on Oct. 8, and vs. Molokai at War Memorial Stadium on Oct. 15.
Kihei Charter started its season with two losses — 47-7 against Seabury Hall on Sept. 3, and 47-13 to Hana on Sept. 10.
The Tiger Sharks went 0-6 in their inaugural season in 2014.
