Kapolei offensive lineman Sean Auwae made his college commitment Friday morning on Twitter, posting a video with his Hurricanes teammates announcing his decision to attend UCLA next season.

Auwae had announced a top six earlier this week that included the Bruins, Vanderbilt, Texas Tech, Louisville, Utah and Oregon State.

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound senior is the No. 9-ranked center overall and No. 1 in the West region according to Scout.com.

Six different Pac-12 schools have landed talent from Hawaii as Auwae joins Kaiser’s Michael Eletise (Arizona), Saint Louis’ Drew Kobayashi (Cal), Nate Herbig (Stanford) and Jordan Iosefa (USC) and Mililani’s Vavae Malepeai (Oregon).

Auwae has said he still plans to take all five official visits he’s allowed.

Current Bruins from Hawaii include kicker Kaimi Fairbairn (Punahou), offensive lineman Fred Ulu-Perry (Saint Louis) and linebacker Isaako Savaiinaea (Punahou).

Kapolei, ranked No. 7 in the Star-Advertiser Top 10 Media Poll, hosts No. 4 Kahuku tonight.

I hope he improved and worked on his footwork over the summer. He was getting killed against Kahuku last year. Good luck tonight
