Washington State became the second FBS school to make a football scholarship offer to Saint Louis junior Nate Herbig.
The Cougars made the offer to the 6-foot-4, 320-pound offensive lineman on Monday. San Diego State made an offer to Herbig in early March. It’s not the first time Wazzu and SDSU have liked the same player. On Mar. 9, both schools made offers to Kapolei offensive lineman Toleafoa Sean Auwae.
Washington State led the NCAA in passing last season and operates a four-wide offense similar to the one at Saint Louis. The Cougars, coached by Mike Leach, have also made an offer to Crusaders sophomore quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Herbig shared the news on Twitter.
