Punahou is the top seed for the Stanford Carr Development Girls Water Polo State championships beginning Wednesday at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
The Buffanblu will be going for their eighth straight title. An ILH team has won every year.
Punahou opens play in the second round between either Baldwin or Roosevelt.
OIA champion Kahuku drew the second seed and takes on the winner between Konawaena and Kalani.
MIL champion Lahianaluna drew the toughest spot for a seeded team, getting the winner between Kamehameha and Kaiser.
Fourth seed Kamehameha-Hawaii plays either Kapolei or Leilehua.
