The HUB Goodwill Senior Classic is still alive, according to Harold Tanaka.
Tanaka, the football coordinator for the Oahu Interscholastic Association, said the annual all-star game will be played on Friday at Kapolei High School. The site of past games, Aloha Stadium, was not considered due to cost-cutting measures.
Rental of Aloha Stadium is roughly $12,000.
The game features top seniors from the Interscholastic League of Honolulu and OIA. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
There will be no matchup between Hawaii and mainland all-stars, unlike the past two years. The game will not be televised.

Why will there be no mainland game this year? Is it because we've been beaten 2 years in a row?
i think it's pretty plain and simple. WE STAND NO CHANCE against the Mainland!!! LOL. no but seriously, i think it's a money issue…cost cutting and such, that's why the HUB East/West All Star game won't be played in the Aloha Stadium…
I feel the main reason there isn't a Mainland game this year is because WE STAND NO CHANCE against the Mainland. no but seriously, i believe it's because of the economy and the cost cutting. that is why the HUB East/West All Star game wont be played in the Aloha Stadium!!!
Hawaii stands a chance against the Mainland, they should give more time to both all-star teams to get familiar with their systems and new teammates, cause its more of a pick up game when they only give the players a week to prepare.
what?! not televised?!
