Senior Classic girls roster announced

The lineups for the Geremy Robinson Senior Basketball Classic have been announced.

Each team is comprised of 10 players, selected by the former University of Hawaii guard.

Public school team: LaChae McColor (Moanalua), Carly Kakuda (Kalani), Sheastel Tiumalu (Castle), Mich’lae Higa (Aiea), Mikaela Limper (Mililani), Penina Faumui (Farrington), Tavae Sina Sofa (Roosevelt), Valerie Wilson (Kaimuki), Sarah Liva (Mililani) and Shantell Arce (Kaiser).


Their coach is Patrick Basilio (Mililani).

The private school team: Cianna Ochoco (Maryknoll), Tiare Libarios-Moses (Sacred Hearts), Celina Pagan (Sacred Hearts), Alohi Robins-Hardy (Kamehameha), Maia Laboy (Maryknoll), Jade Botelho (‘Iolani), Siena Shupe (Maryknoll), Keau Fey (Punahou) and Kelly Kuchenbecker (Le Jardin).

Their coach is Kevin Velasco (Punahou).


Practices will be held on Mar. 1 at Koko Head District Park gym: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the public school team and 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. for the private school team.

The Senior Classic will be played at Moanalua High School on Sunday, Mar. 2. The girls game will tip off at 4:30 p.m. and a 3-point competition will be held at halftime.

The boys slam dunk competition, 3-point contest and senior game will follow the girls.


The boys roster will be announced after the state tournament.

“This is a chance for players here to show what Hawaii basketball is about,” Robinson said. “They deserve way more exposure than they get right now.”

    To bad outer island kids won’t be competing… That Liftee girl did work in the state championships
