The renovation of Kunuiakea Stadium will conclude with good timing for the Polynesian Bowl.

Kamehameha Schools and the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame announced a multi-year partnership on Tuesday. The annual game, which was cancelled in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will return on Jan. 22, 2022, at the school’s facility.

“It is only fitting that the Polynesian Bowl takes place on the campus of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama,” said Jesse Sapolu, chairman and co-founder of the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame. “We celebrate the cultural significance of this meaningful partnership.”

The game will be televised by CBS Sports Network.
