Three games into her professional career, Chanelle Molina is enjoying the chemistry of life on the opposite side of the world.

The former Konawaena and Washington State standout scored 18 points and hustled for six rebounds as the Norrköping Dolphins routed Uppsala 79-62 on Saturday. The Dolphins’ improved to 2-1 in Swedish Basketball League play with the road victory.

Camille Zimmerman had 17 points and nine rebounds and Erika Davenport also scored 18 points as Norrköping used a 25-10 third-quarter run to open a 24-point lead. Zimmerman is a 6-foot-1 forward from Columbia University. Davenport is a 5-11 forward who suffered an ACL injury in 2019 as a senior at Marquette.

“Our team chemistry is improving. We’re putting each other in better positions on the court to succeed,” Molina said on Sunday. “I wasn’t really in much pick-and-roll situations, but when I was, the other team did a good job of hedging, which forced me to pass the ball. Other than that, I was trying to stay open on the 3-point line when the other guards were in that situation.”

Since a season-opening loss at Hogsbo — after just four days of practice — the Dolphins are averaging 86 points per game in two wins. Molina is averaging 23.3 points per game, sixth among individual scorers in the SBL.

“It was pretty even scoring from everyone our team. Everyone contributed,” Molina added.

Eurobasket Sweden called the matchup “the most crucial game of the last (weekend).”

Norrköping hosts the Wetterbygden Sparks (2-1) next Saturday.

Alvik (3-0) and Hogsbo (2-0) lead the league standings.
