Notes: Terrell is a three-time ILH champ who hasn’t placed better than sixth at states … Sumiye catches a poke to the eye and he is being looked at with 38 seconds left in the first round … They trade escapes and it’s 1-1 in the third with more than a minute to go … Overtime we go … Sumiye gets the escape in his 30-second period starting on bottom, now can he hold Terrell down? Nope. It’s 2-2. Sumiye gets the sudden victory escape to win 3-2. Sumiye wins the state title a year after being DQ’d.
