Kamehameha coach Abu Ma‘afala chats about his team’s resilience in a 20-15 win over Waianae. The Seariders got a school-record 247 yards, plus two touchdowns, on a whopping 46 carries by sophomore Kolu Quisquirin-Sabagala.
(Update: A 3-yard carry by Quisquirin-Sabagala was incorrectly attributed to another Waianae player. Quisquirin-Sabagala’s corrected rushing totals are 47 attempts, 250 yards.)
Kolu interview was humble and on it. When asking about his carries and yardage regarding records was not something on his mind. His concern was for a win for the team. He is definitely a strong player that knows when his body needs to take a break. Good luck to you Kolu in all that you pursue on and off the field.
