With two wins to start the regular season, Campbell moved up two spots to No. 1 in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Softball Top 10 this week.
The Sabers, who won three state championships in a row from 2015 through 2017 before being supplanted by Leilehua at the top in 2018, rolled past Aiea 12-2 and then edged then-No. 8 Kapolei 2-0.
Campbell received five of 10 first-place votes and replaced Punahou at No. 1 in the poll. The Buffanblu, after suffering two losses last week, tumbled to No. 6.
Maryknoll, which owns an 8-7 victory over the Buffanblu and a 13-3 win over St. Francis, was the biggest upward mover, going from No. 7 to No. 3. The Spartans received three first-place votes.
Mililani also gained ground, up three spots to No. 2.
Leilehua, which checked in at No. 2 last week, fell to No. 5.
St. Francis, after that 13-3 loss to Maryknoll, also made a big drop — from No. 4 to No. 10.
Mid-Pacific, with a 15-12 win over Punahou in hand, made it into the poll at No. 9.
Kapolei, which was tied at No. 8 last week, dropped below the cut line. The Hurricanes received six votes, behind the 15 earned by Lahainaluna and more than Kohala (two), Maui (two), Waianae (two) and Baldwin (one).
