The title game pits two nationally-ranked programs in Incarnate Word Academy (St. Louis, Mo.) and Pinewood (Los Altos Hills, Calif.). IWA Is ranked No. 22 by MaxPreps, which predicted a Classic crown for the Red Knights. Pinewood is ranked No. 12 by USA Today.

The Panthers claim the ‘Iolani Classic title for 2018 with a resounding win over a very talented IWA squad. Hanah Jump. HANNAH JUMP! The senior finishes with 36 points, 11-for-13 from deep, including a 4-point play from NBA range in the final quarter. It was a demonstration of great ball movement by the Panthers, but they were seemingly looking for her in classic 1990s Detroit Pistons, feed-the-pig style. And wisely so. Nothing could’ve stopped Jump or Pinewood tonight. I’m not a voter, but I can see Pinewood in the Top 5 nationally with IWA.
As a team, the Panthers hustled for 11 offensive rebounds in the second half, including five combined by guards Courtni Thompson and Annika Decker. Thompson also dished out eight assists. Decker had four dimes.
The Panthers, as a team, shot 17-for-38 from the arc. An incredible display for shooting precision and complete buy-in on unselfish teamwork.
Rickie Wolten (Purdue) finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds, guarded mostly by Jump in the second half. Kiki Britzmann added 11 points and Marissa Warren tallied 10 points and six boards.

The Panthers have cooled off, but they now have nine offensive rebounds in this half. Everything breaking their way, or simply outhustling the opponent?
Pinewood 52, Incarnate Word 36, end Q3
An unbelievable quarter that started with IWA gaining momentum, but no matter what IWA’s coach tried with his subs, nobody covered Jump. She hit four more treys and is now 9-for-11 from 3-point range. INSANE. Jump now has 30 points.
Pinewood 48, Incarnate Word 34, 3:22, Q3
Another drive-and-kick, Annika Decker with the dish to Jump and it’s a 14-point lead. Time out, IWA. No matter who subs in, the Red Knights are leaving Jump open and it’s driving Coach Dan Rolfes mad.
Pinewood 43, Incarnate Word 34, 5:05, Q3
The Red Knights had momentum, hitting Rickie Woltman inside for back-to-back buckets and two foul shots. But they keep leaving Hannah Jump open for some reason. She hits two more treys off drive-and-kicks and now has 23 points on seven treys. WOW.
At the half, Pinewood is 9-for-17 from 3-point range — similar to the 9-for-15 yesterday against ‘Iolani — getting 5-for-7 from the arc by Hannah Jump. IWA is 3-for-8 from deep.
Pinewood 34, Incarnate Word 28, halftime
Strong run by the Red Knights, an 11-3 run, to end the first half. Marissa Warren swished a hanging jumper in the lane, and they fed 6-4 center Rickie Wolten for two post buckets to get within six points.
Hannah Jump cooled off and took only one shot against tight defense during the final 4 minutes of the first half. Jump has 17 points to lead the Panthers. Kaitlyn Leung has seven points.
Wolten has eight points to lead IWA.

Hannah Jump still hot, adding a 3 and 2, and the Pinewood Panthers now have a 31-17 lead over Incarnate Word,.

IWA is establishing inside presence, but hasn’t been able to stop Hannah Jump. The Pinewood SF is 4-for-4 from long range. En fuego.
Clovis West 61, ‘Iolani 48, FINAL
Nikki Tom and Madison Campbell scored 13 points each to lead a balanced attack. Aari’yanna Sanders added 12 and Cahmpney Pulliam had 11. Taylor Wu led the host Raiders with 17 points. Jovi Wahinekapu Lefotu chipped in 10 points.
Clovis West 53, ‘Iolani 45, 2:31, Q4
‘Iolani was within 44-43, but Clovis West went on a 9-0 run to open a 53-43 lead. The Raiders got a layup on a pass from Taylor Wu to Kylie Yung to cut the lead back to eight.
No. 4 Lahainaluna 62, No. 3 Kalani 52, fifth place
Susitina Namoa finished the tourney strong with 23 points, giving her 47 in the final two games as the Lady Lunas took fifth place. Taioalo Wolf added 21 points and Ashley Akamine added 11 points.
Kalena Halunajan scored a career-high 28 points to lead Kalani. Heidi Kishaba added 10 points. Kamalu Kamakawiwo‘ole, Kalani’s leading scorer, did not play.
Sacred Hearts 42, Kaiser 36, seventh place
Dallas Martinez had 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the Lancers. Trinity Martin splashed three treys and finished with 11 points.
Taeya Blakeney had 10 points and eight boards to pace Kaiser.
